If approaching Bath from M4 J18 on the A46, the satnav often direct drivers to turn left into Leigh Lane where signed for St Catherine. This route to the cottage involves travelling around 3½ miles on a single track road. The alternative is to carry on the A46, following the signs for Bath, until the roundabout over an underpass at the bottom of a long hill. At this roundabout turn left for Batheaston and follow directions as above.

Public Transport

The nearest bus stop, which has a regular service to Bath City, is in Batheaston and around 1½ miles distant.

Taxis from Bath City centre cost in the region of £12 - £15.

THE BARN AT RAMSCOMBE COTTAGE

The Barn at Ramscombe Cottage is a one bed-roomed, self-catering, single storey barn conversion of just over 47 sq. metres in floor area.

Our barn, which shares the entrance drive with the cottage, has recently been converted to a high standard, to accommodate two / four people comfortably.

We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs.

The accommodation has one bedroom, with a king-size bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. There is under-floor heating throughout, plus a wood-burning stove in living area. The floors to the wet room and utility are tiled while the living room / kitchen and bedroom benefit from soft wood flooring.

There are exposed rafters to the bedroom, living room/kitchen and utility rooms.
